GOW 2 Campaign footage
May 10th, 2008 | by Tarun Kunwar |Emergence holes that can take out a whole city? I wonder what types of grenades you’ll need to close them up. What I am “digging” Senior Cliffy, are these new single shot weapons that seem to be more accurate than the chainsaw; I could never aim with that piece of crap.
Now the only thing left to wonder is how Epic is going to gel the chainsaw battles into the multiplayer. It seems as though the winner is determined by how fast one can tap the B button. Cool, but any n3wb sporting a third party controller with an auto function will pwn every time. Here’s hoping that they won’t make it into another humdrum Halo-esque sword battle.

It looks like if you liked the first GOW, you are bound to like the second. It’s good that they didn’t change the underlying game play.

I watched this earlier… it is rather epic (no pun intended). Reminded me how much I enjoyed the GoW campaign. And then I remembered how damn SHORT it was. They better make the campaign longer this time around, and HIRE SOME BETTER WRITERS! The story was pretty painful. The game is still full of those great moments, which makes it all worthwhile.
Since they have most of the technology nailed down from developing the first one, I’m hoping they are doing the story and campaign length justice this time around. No excuses!

I agree with both comments.
First of all, for me, there are only three shooters that are worth it.
Halo, COD, and Gears. Everything else is second rate.
This was the first time a game actually made me feel like I was watching a movie. The cinematics were stunning. (ex: Kim getting stabbed through the stomach by General RAAM).
A campaign extension is definitely in order.
I’m just worried about the multiplayer. In the first GOW, you couldn’t send a party invite for a ranked match…nuff said.
