Namco has released a whopping minute long trailer on its illustrious weapon based fighting franchise.
The trailer reveals a whole lotta nothing in terms of gameplay. It does however show vastly increased detail in the characters as well as an 08′ release date. And yes, it will be on both platforms. Namco has also stated that SCIV shall “propel the fighting genre into the next-gen era.†I’ve got faith.
Here’s to some new exclusive characters for each console. The 360 needs something better than Spawn this time around.
Two Limited Edition 360 Wireless controllers are being released on September 18th, designed by the legendary Todd McFarlane. One features artwork of a Covenant Brute, and the other of Master Chief (but of course). They will retail for $59.99 and can be preordered NOW. To make the price seem fair, you also get a limited edition Master Chief figurine from McFarlane Toys.
Also coming out in September is a Limited Edition Halo 3 wireless headset. Let me warn you, it’s ugly.
If that’s not enough for you, there is also another novel coming soon, a Marvel comic Halo miniseries, and the Halo 3 branded Zune. Are you feeling synergized yet?
A title update is being release tomorrow, June 14th, at 2am GMT which will not only add new achievements, but will squash some more glitches, and improve gameplay. The changes include:
* New Achievements added! Eight new achievements worth a total of 250 points created for playing Annex and the Hidden Fronts Multiplayer Map Pack
* Improved Roadie Run to reduce getting snagged on cover
* Tweaked up the amount of damage done by the Lancer Assault Rifle in multiplayer
* Fixed split-screen players interrupting the other player’s actions when they die
* Stopped Annex scoring whenever a “Connection Error†dialog box is displayed
* Reduced the duration that corpses remain visible when hosting an Annex match
* Reduced the range of possible Annex bleed-out times selectable by host
* Addressed a number of multiplayer exploits
* Addressed other general housekeeping

Suddenly we’re disconnected, and the beta is no longer working! 12:00 AM Pacific was the inevitable cut off.
My efforts to restart Crackdown were futile; the end had arrived.
While sobbing waiting on my dashboard, I noticed some of the gamers in my party were still online. As it turned out, if you hadn’t quit the Beta, you’d still be rocking custom games! Currently I have two friends who are leaving their consoles on all night, and perhaps all week, to continue the Haloing. Lucky…
