Gears of War update - glitches fixed, new gametype!
April 1st, 2007 | by Justin Nolan |A title update for Gears of War is currently undergoing the certification process. The update promises to fix many bugs and glitches, as well as add a whole new multiplayer gametype, named “Annex.” Regarding the new gametype, Mark Reins only had this to say:
Some folks who got to play it a few weeks ago said they think it is our best multiplayer gametype yet but I’ll leave it for you fans to decide what you think for yourself when it shows up soon on Xbox Live. More details next week.
The update will also provide “720p for VGA users running at 1280×1024″ and “a whole bunch” of glitch fixes. I’ll keep you posted when new details arrive.

Very recently, I was shocked just as you are.
I hope this will get rid of all the glitches that will complicate gameplay, aka any glitch that involves the Lancer Rifle and the break dance, weapon pick-up. Also the word annex has a connection to the word territories. I really can’t wait until they make ranked friends available, so that you can be competitive and have fun at the same time.

Some glitches in the game such as the sliding glitch are not worthy of deletion. The glitches which do not harm the other team should be left in the game. I greatly dislike stupid people.

Now that its here, you can still do all the glitches except the long jump - they have done nothing but change the physics of the game, (and add game type of course) which is actually really bad as all you do is stick to walls and ever bit of cover in the area

just playedd the nex annex mode its awsum but the matches drone on a bit and i dislike the fact they depleted the amount of points you gain for eg killin i would hav 72 kills and not alot of points!

The new update for Gears of War has ruin the game. Taking out all the glitches ruins everything. Now when you pick up any weapon, you get sniped in the head. They should of just taken out the glitches that take you off the map but not the weapon slide glitch and any other one that does not harm the other team. At first the game great, but now its just wrong. Annex is a great game but they should of left some glitches in the game.

I hate all the glitchs its not meant to be in the game so keep it out the game. If the game developer wanted them in there, they would have not tryed to fix it. Actually the glitches were better to have because glitchers could just be booted. Now, there are alot more glitches and they are really anoyying! If you are running and u get to close to a wall u get stuck! ITS REDICULOUS! The sliding glitch is still there by the way. Theres also the chainsaw glitch. Theres even one that get kill people after u die. Its called the detonator. Its complicated but really anooying. U chainsaw With a shotty and then they go down and whenn u die they die. Its so gay. And i recently figured out how to get an automatic head shot with a sniper. All i’m trying to say is the gliches were better off the way they were. BUT annex is awsome!

ever since the update i have not enjoyed playing the game, the host gets there stupidly powerful wepons and all the noobs go on the hosts team because its a gaurenteed win(more or less) and we cant have our harmless glitches, instead we stick to everything aim worse move slower get more lag and EVRY game i play AT LEAST, one person quits its rediculus, why join if your gonna quit it ruins the game for everyone else, all xbox is doing is making the best game ever, the most boring unenjoyable game ever

i know how to do the shotgun glitch all u have to do is… get ur lancer out, shoot a fue bullets then reloud, when ur are relouding get an active by pressing RB RT and B at the same time hold them down untill u fire 2 shots after the reloud then switch to the shotgun still holding those 3 buttons then let go of them , then tap A you should roll half way then stop with ur shotgun reving. you can tell your doing it because you have to walk and look around with the left analog stick. there u go have fun

I think if you are going to glitch you should say so before you start the game,some people don’t know how to do it and it makes them quit early then it sucks for everyone.And just for the record, talking shit during game play is for fags who sit in thier bedrooms playing gears all day. wats up, all i wanna say the annex is ok if the team u on actually want to win, some just go to kill people but don’t bother trying to score points by trying to get in the inner circle…the annex is a defenately team oriented but its hard to find a team that actually wants to have a plan, communicate and win…usually i would see these kids go killin not even communicate and do their own thing. On another big problem for me is Why should the host get aiming preference over everyone???? Its so RIDICULOUS! everyone should be the same..the host be killing people easily at times and when they get shot it takes a lot to kill them like they have a force shield or something. PLS change the HOST ADVANTAGEEEE!!! thanx.

I agree that you should not GLITCH if everybody else does not know how to do it! I know a few myself but if I’m in a Ranked match and the rest of my team or there team does not know how to do it then I don’t then I don’t do any becuase it’s not fair for them becuase I have a better chance then them so I don’t! I get plenty of kills without GLITCHING
but thats just becuase I’m good at what I do so if you can get more then 8 kills without GLITCHING then you need to pay attention to how everybody else and see if it’s a good time to GLITCH or not!

guys the glitches for gears of war were delibritly put in the game. gears of war 1, is just a test to see if any glitches are good and bad. because gears of war 2 will still have backflip…chainsaw…host shot glitch..
ect you get the point. they cant exactly make the game glitch free because then every one would just walk forwards and fall straight through the graphics so think about it… STOP COMPLAINING.
